Marine Service Technician

Beacon Marine of Door County is expanding and hiring 1-2 Senior Marine Service Technicians, because of our successes selling and servicing boats in northeast Wisconsin. Join our Team today as a Boat Service Technician!  Great benefits and work environment.

MARINE TECHNICIAN, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of all types of marine engines: Outboards, Inboards, and I/O 
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install parts and accessories in boats including electronics, bilge pumps, charging systems, and steering systems 
• Test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment 
• Perform work specified on the repair order conscientiously and according to manufacturer specification 
• Diagnose, maintain and repair systems as needed 
• Communicate with the Service Manager so customer may be informed of any additional service needs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications and to customer satisfaction 

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record. U.S. Citizen. 
• A strong attention to quality work and detail 
• Be able to work independently or with a team 
• Be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments 
• Service Technician experience. Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair 
• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certifications a bonus
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment 
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies 
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve 
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment 
• Ability to learn modern technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
