Material Mover

Our Material Handler handles, moves and stores various steel coils to inventory locations and to the presses including loading onto coil reels. Their main duties include loading and unloading different steel coils, recording inventory statuses and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders.

Material Handler Job Responsibilities:

• Ensures orderly production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed.
• Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
• Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials.
• Documents materials and records units delivered and location of units.
• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs.
• Operates forklifts.
• Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
• Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.

Hours: 6:00 A.M. – 2:30 P.M, Monday – Friday.

Paid Holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, 2 days for the Fourth of July, Labor Day, 2 days for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and ½ day on Good Friday.

Material Handler Skills/Qualifications:

• Organizational skills
• Ability to read and analyze Information
• Adept at handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines
• Excellent time management
• Process improvement mindset
• Knowledge of inventory control
• Data entry skills

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

• Previous stock or inventory experience a plus
• Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack a plus

Wage will be based on experience.
