Oversees a team of servers, ensuring smooth dining room operations by managing table assignments, coordinating with the kitchen, providing exceptional customer service, and often assisting with training new staff, all while maintaining a high standard of quality and guest satisfaction within a restaurant or establishment; essentially acting as a leader among the serving staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet guests promptly and courteously.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately.
  • Deliver food and drinks to tables in a timely manner, ensuring proper course timing.
  • Provide menu recommendations and answer guest questions.
  • Upsell menu items, specials, and beverages.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and handle requests or complaints professionally.
  • Prepare itemized checks and process payments
  • Ensure tables are properly set and maintained.
  • Communicate with kitchen and bar staff for timely service.
  • Follow all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Previous experience as a server preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math and cash handling skills.
  • Familiarity with POS system is a plus
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry trays with food and drinks.
  • Knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and allergens.
  • Flexible schedule for nights, weekends, and holidays. 

Job Type: Seasonal FT/PT 

Salary: $10.00 per hour plus tips
