Now Hiring: Head of Maintenance - Be the Brains and Hands-On Expert
The Inn at Little Sister Hill

Do you take pride in seeing a problem and solving it, your way? Do you enjoy hands-on work where your skills truly matter? At The Inn at Little Sister Hill, we’re looking for a Head of Maintenance who is both the thinker and the doer, the person our property relies on to keep everything running smoothly.

You’ll have full responsibility for maintenance and the freedom to plan and execute repairs, improvements, and seasonal projects, but you’ll also work closely with the General Manager, who provides overall guidance and priorities.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Ownership & impact: You are the go-to maintenance expert, and your work directly affects guests’ experience.
  • Variety & challenge: Every day is different: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, pool maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, and seasonal projects.
  • Flexible schedule: Full-time April - October, part-time November - March.
  • Competitive pay: Up to $25/hour based on experience.
  • Beautiful, peaceful setting: Work in scenic Door County and enjoy a supportive, small-team environment.
  • Collaborative autonomy: You handle the work, make decisions day-to-day, and report to the GM on priorities and larger projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Handle day-to-day maintenance and repairs across the property
  • Plan and carry out preventative maintenance to prevent issues
  • Maintain guest rooms, common areas, pool, and outdoor spaces to high standards
  • Manage seasonal tasks, including groundskeeping, openings/closings, and snow removal
  • Track and respond to maintenance requests
  • Collaborate with the GM to prioritize projects, improvements, and major repairs

Who We’re Looking For

  • A self-starter who notices what needs to be done and takes initiative
  • Strong all-around maintenance skills, including pool maintenance, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
  • Comfortable working independently while keeping the GM informed
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive
  • Prior maintenance experience preferred

If you want a role where your skills, decisions, and hard work make a real difference, while having a clear point of guidance from management, this is the perfect fit.
