Salad/Pantry Chef





Responsible for accurate and efficient food production in the pantry area. Maintain the food quality and presentation. Perform other duties in the areas of food preparation as required. This position requires night, weekend and holiday shift work.





  • Set up station according to Chef’s guidelines.
  • Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications of all food items
  • Ensuring station or area is sanitary and fully functional
  • Ability to plate salads, sandwiches, flatbreads and desserts
  • Restock all items as needed throughout the shift
  • Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety, sanitation and organizational skills
  • Follow all cleaning check lists on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Complete a prep list provided by the Executive Chef/Sous Chef on a daily basis
  • Work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy in production and presentation are essential
  • Prepare à la carte items for meal service, including sandwiches, salads and similar items
  • Displaying prepared items in an aesthetically pleasing fashion
  • Inspecting, selecting and using only food items which are ideal for cooking
  • Appropriately labeling and storing product at the end of a shift
  • Communicate effectively with the Sous Chef, Line Cooks and Executive Chef
  • Make constant efforts to improve working procedures to upgrade food qualities
  • Comply with all food handling and sanitation procedures
  • Respond to all reasonable requests made by supervisors and management
  • Performs related duties as assigned by the manager-on-duty
  • Any additional tasks deemed necessary by management





Executive Chef





  • Able to work in varying temperatures, ranging from the freezers to the heat of the kitchen
  • Able to stand for the entire shift, and able to bend, twist, crouch, and reach in the performance of the job
  • Able to routinely lift 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Able to work cooperatively with all members of the staff to achieve common objectives
  • Able to work day or evening shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to communicate effectively, perform multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of applicable safety and sanitation procedures
  • Must arrive to work on time

Schedule / Hours / Compensation


  • This is a full time or part time, seasonal job [May – October]
  • Weekend hours are required
  • Nighttime hours are required
  • Holiday hours are required
  • Schedule is subject to change based on Gordon Lodge events and hours of operations
  • Hourly compensation based on experience with bonus opportunity
