Assist a person who is elderly or disabled in his/her own home with light housekeeping, meal preparation, companionship, running errands and/or doing laundry. Some clients may require assistance with personal cares (bath/shower, hair care & toiletries). Caregivers are assigned only to situations where they are comfortable performing the required cares. Training is available to expand skill set to new areas of interest.
Hours vary depending on the needs of the client. Those looking to fill only a few hours a week may work with only one client, while those wanting more hours may choose to work with several clients. Design a scheudle to fit your life - anything from 2 - 40 hours per week.
Shifts can be as short as 2 hours or as long as 12. Shifts can be any day of the week, generally between 6am and 9pm. Caregivers are selected to work with clients based on their interest and availability.
Compensation depends on the experience of the care partner and the difficulty of the care situation. PTO and holiday pay are available to full time workers.
