DESCRIPTION:

The United Way of Door County is in search of a creative, energetic and organized individual for the position of Fund Development Director.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

The FUND DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR reports to the Executive Director. This position will be responsible for the planning and leading of our comprehensive annual fundraising campaign. The position is charged with planning, directing and increasing the development of financial resources including revenue from individuals, foundations, and corporations/businesses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The FUND DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR must be a strong communicator, effective relationship builder, results-oriented and provide leadership for growing the organization’s comprehensive resource development effort in order to achieve our mission.

Successful candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit, passion for our mission, and work independently with guidance toward a goal. The FUND DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR will develop to be the face of the United Way in Door County. Candidates are expected to attend all United Way events and various community events, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Reliable transportation is required.

SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

Work Habits: Self-motivated, with high capacity to multi-task and work quickly, either independently or with a team. The FUND DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR willhave excellent critical thinking skills, and understand daily, shifting priorities and how to manage a busy schedule with the ability to handle multiple tasks with little supervision.

Passionate: This person must be committed to serving the community and be a flexible team player by assisting with other projects/duties within the organization as needed.

Communication: Candidates must possess strong fundraising and/or sales experience; excellent written and oral communication; ability to provide excellent year round customer service to donors, volunteers, businesses and the community at large.

Skills: Computer proficient in MS office products (Word, Excel). Must possess strong people skills, high attention to detail and the ability to review/analyze data.

COMPENSATION:
This outstanding opportunity is a full time, exempt, salaried position with competitive compensation and benefits.

 $40,000-$45,000 annual salary
