Julie's Park Motel, Countryside Cottages and Evergreen Hill Condominium group is looking for a lodging manager. The three properties are run out of the Julie's Park Motel office. Summary of Position:
Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional experience for all our guests. Primary objective is to show our guests such a marvelous time, they will want to return again and again.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Take any phone booking and internet booking and answer all emails in regards to reservations in an almost super human like speed (j/k but within the same business day). If you do not have the time, make sure the night desk person has a list of things to do.
· Guest feedback
Talk with all guests that you encounter and make sure that all their needs are met and if there are any issue, a resolution is found or put in process. Our customers are the main part of our business so making sure that you get to know them on a personal level is important.
Fold and cycle all laundry for the housekeepers to keep up on cleaning.
Make a weekly work schedule for all lodging employees including housekeepers and front desk. Handle all requests for days off and rescheduling if needed. Keeping employee cost at a manageable level.
· Down time personal/professional development (relevant to job)
The following but no limited to: professional/personal development books whose content can be utilized and implemented at the motel, spiritual development (daily devotional, Etc.), Classes online or at campuses that can be utilized at the motel.
· Overseeing housekeepers
Print a housekeeping report for the housekeepers and put all necessary notes such as dogs, cots, etc. Check rooms after housekeepers are finished with cleaning.
· Inventory and ordering
Keep inventory of all products used in lodging and order them in a timely fashion so that we always meet pars levels and never run out. Work in cooperation with Operator to ensure all supplies are stocked.
· Maintenance issues
Recognize and fix or get the proper person to fix the issue
· Property walk
Walk the property daily to look for garbage, lights out, or any other issues that need to be addressed
· Train housekeepers, laundry and front desk
Train head housekeeper, housekeepers, laundry and front desk workers to the standard that is consistent with our expectations (once you are trained by Shane or Sande)
· Opening operations
Unlock all lobby doors, make sure lights are on. Print all housekeeping prints outs needed for the day. Make coffee and make sure lobby restroom is in good order
· Night/nights on call
A maximum of two nights a week you will need to take the after hours phone home with you to make sure that if anyone gets locked out or needs something that you will be there for that.
§ Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
§ Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
§ Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
§ Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver boxes and containers frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
§ Possess exceptional people skills and an eye for details

Salary: $30,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year
