Event Support Staff Job Description

Position Overview

The Event Support Staff member plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations before, during, and after events. This position supports the event owner, managers, and culinary team through a blend of administrative, logistical, and hands-on responsibilities. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
Compensation: $18–$22 per hour, depending on experience

Core Responsibilities

Event Operations & Logistics

  • Drive to events, allowing the owner to ride along while working.

  • Pick up employees who do not have transportation to event locations.

  • Assist with transporting supplies, equipment, and materials as needed.

  • Oversee cleanup duties the day after each event.

  • Maintain clean equipment and organize all items following cleanup day.

Administrative & Documentation Duties

  • Create professional documents for events, including schedules, checklists, and reference sheets.

  • Maintain employee schedules and update shift assignments.

  • Organize clipboards and materials for event managers.

  • Create nametags for employees working each event.

  • Create labels for food products according to event and kitchen standards.

Supply Runs & Errands

  • Drive to Green Bay weekly to pick up supplies from Costco and Woodman’s.

  • Assist with additional errands as assigned.

Bookkeeping & Payroll Support

  • Perform light bookkeeping duties.

  • Import receipts into QuickBooks for accurate financial tracking.

  • Assist with payroll by gathering necessary information.

  • Work with spreadsheets to compute gratuities for each employee based on hours worked.

Laundry & Post-Event Duties

  • Complete laundry after each event, ensuring linens and uniforms are cleaned and ready for future use.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Comfortable driving regularly, including to Green Bay.

  • Basic proficiency with spreadsheets and bookkeeping software (QuickBooks preferred).

  • Professional communication and reliability.

  • Ability to lift and transport supplies as needed.

Compensation
