Utility Operator Compensation/Benefits

  • Pay - $18-$24.00/hour based on experience
  • 1st shift - 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday
  • Health, Dental, Vision and paid time off

Your time will be split between Warehouse and Sandblasting, see the job descriptions below:

Warehouse Position Summary: 
Plan, organize, and participate in the operations and activities of the Warehouse; train, and direct warehouse support staff.

Warehouse Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, organize, and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, and safety.
  2. Package, pallet and prepare customers shipments for delivery
  3. Receive and oversee tracking of all incoming freight deliveries: UPS, FedEx, and LTL
  4. Route, schedule, and prepare orders for delivery; oversee loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
  5. Organize and maintain warehouse appearance and functionality
  6. Work with Paint department/ fabrication to ensure deliveries are on time.
  7. Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
  8. Maintain warehouse standards and procedures.
  9. Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
  11. Operate forklift truck as necessary.
  12. Works overtime when needed.
  13. Excellent attendance.
  14.  Any other duties assign by his/her supervisor

Warehouse Qualifications:

  1. 3-5+ years prior warehouse experience required.
  2. HS degree or GED required
  3. Forklift experience required (certification/training required)4.
  4. Capable of lifting heavy boxes up to 60 lbs
  5. Knowledge of general fabrication process and hand tools that pertain to warehouse.
  6. Knowledge of space utilization and inventory techniques; proper methods of storing equipment, materials, and tools.
  7. Demonstrated ability to build relationships is important
  8. Ability to learn new software
  9. Basic math skills
  10. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  11. Any other duties assign by his/her supervisor

Sandblasting Job Summary: This position is responsible for the daily setup and operation of sand blast equipment in a just-in-time fabrication shop with some assistance provided. This position preps metal parts before the painting process

Sandblasting Responsibilities:

  1. Set up and operate Blasting Equipment for routine established work.
  2. Load, organize parts according to schedule supplied
  3. Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations.
  4. Account for time and work completed via per company policy.
  5. Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and completed work.
  6. Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance.
  7. Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level.
  8. Ability to mask(tape) off studs or machined surfaces

Sandblasting Qualifications:

  1. This is a general type laborer position, more physical than academic (carts and forklifts) are at your disposal
  2. Basic knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication preferred
  3. Ability to operate a forklift.
  4. Basic timecard logging to track jobs completed
  5. Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.
  6. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
  8. Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
  9. Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
  10. Safety conscious behavior.
  11. Excellent attendance.

Sand blaster physical requirements:

  1. Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 – 40 lbs frequently.
  2. Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
  3. Sit, stand and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day.
  4. Ability to work in a job shop work environment.
  5. Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection and other appropriate protective clothing
  6. Safety glasses are required.  The client provides gloves, ear protection, and coveralls for in the sand booth
