Position Purpose:

The Valet is responsible for providing an outstanding first impression and seamless arrival experience for all guests at the clubhouse. This position is key in ensuring that members and visitors feel welcomed, valued, and attended to from the moment they arrive. As the first point of contact, the Valet plays an essential role in upholding the high standards of service at Horseshoe Bay Golf Club.

Job Summary:

This role requires a fast-paced, energetic individual with strong communication skills and the ability to think on their feet. The Valet must provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service while maintaining a professional demeanor. Responsibilities include assisting with parking and retrieving vehicles, managing the valet podium, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for guests. A good Valet must remain focused, proactive, and consistently ready to assist guests in various ways.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet all arriving guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Park and retrieve vehicles in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Ensure vehicles are handled with care, including driving both manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Minimize wait times by jogging up and down the parking lot during busy periods.
  • Accommodate guests with accessibility or handicapped needs.
  • Open clubhouse doors whenever possible to welcome members.
  • Keep the valet podium tidy and organized at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and clutter-free valet area.
  • Proactively maintain a visible presence during slower periods to ensure readiness.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and manager-on-duty.
  • Follow all safety and operational protocols regarding vehicle handling and guest interactions.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Must be a licensed driver in the United States.
  • Comfortable driving both manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Ability to jog up and down the parking lot and remain on feet for extended periods.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations professionally and efficiently.
  • Quick thinking and decision-making ability to accommodate guest needs.
  • Professionalism, with no personal phone use while on duty.
  • Strong attention to detail to maintain cleanliness and organization in the valet area.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily outdoors, requiring the ability to work in varying weather conditions.
  • The position may involve working evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the clubhouse schedule.
