Are you passionate about food and ready to be part of a dedicated culinary team? Crave Cuisine is looking for Prep Cooks to support our catering events for the 2025 season!
Shift Details:
Typical shifts: 9:30 AM–5:00 PM or 8:00 AM–1:00 PM.
Shift dates for 2025 are listed below.
Responsibilities:
Follow prep lists created by chefs.
Measure ingredients and seasonings accurately for cooking.
Prepare ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.
Demonstrate basic cooking knowledge (e.g., reducing sauces, parboiling foods).
Maintain a clean and organized prep area and kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of trash.
Ensure all food and supplies are properly stored and labeled.
Skill Requirements:
Previous experience in any food establishment.
Wisconsin Food Handlers Certificate ($9) required—we’ll help you get signed up!
ServSafe certification is a plus.
Strong manual dexterity for handling cutting tools and kitchen utensils.
Team player with excellent communication skills.
Ability to stay positive and patient under pressure.
Good physical stamina with the ability to lift 25+ pounds.
Attention to personal hygiene is essential.
Bonus Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Culinary program training is a plus.

Rate of pay:
$17.50 per hour plus tip
Uniform:
Nonslip black shoes
Clean pants & shirt
Hat - baseball cap is fine
Apron and all tools are provided by Crave Cuisine
Additional Opportunities:
Shifts available at catering events (2-8pm & 4-10pm) assembling and plating food under head chef's direction at an increased rate of pay plus tip.

Earning Potential:
If you can work an entire event (2 days of prep 9:30am-5:00pm, 1 event day 2:00pm-8:00pm & 1 day cleanup 8:00am-1:00pm) you have the potential to earn $550 per event!
