Do you love the outdoors, have a passion for paddling, and enjoy sharing your enthusiasm with others? Join us at Peninsuala Kayak Company in Jacksonport, WI as a Kayak Guide. Spend you summer leading unforgettable and safe adventures along the stunning coastline of Door County!
What You'll Do:
- Lead guided kayak tours in a fun, safe and informative way
- Deliever clear pre-trip safety briefings and basic paddling instruction
- Share stories about local wildlife, ecology, history and coastal landmarks with guests
- Help load, launch, and stow kayaks and gear
- Spend your days outside, on the water, doing what you love
- Meet amazing people from all over
- Be part of a passionate team that values nature, adventure and fun
What We're Looking For:
- Confident communication with great group leadership skills
- Ability to stay calm and effiecient in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Basic knowlede of kayaking or willingness to learn quickly
- Be physically able to lift 50+ lbs and work comfortably in various weather conditions
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain the certification prior to guiding trips)
- Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work independently and as a group
- Available weekends and some holidays
Pay: Based on experience and availability. Starting $12 per hour + bonus and tips
