Position Summary: To manage the daily operations of the tasting room area while supervising a team of employees and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction, operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Must be a United States citizen with a valid driver’s license and high school diploma or equivalency, with an additional level of higher education preferred.
  • Minimum of two years proven management experience in a retail store or other related tourism and/or hospitality industry preferred.
  • Must have excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, time management, and cognitive skills.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of professionalism, customer service, quality, and cleanliness.
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a great attitude.
  • Ability to work independently, but possess strong team and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of wine and food industry and retail business fundamentals such as: sales and inventory management.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, which includes early evenings and weekends, that aligns with guests and business needs in a busy tourist area.

  • Ability to maintain visual and mental concentration, possess functional sensory abilities, fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination in order to visually monitor the store and its team, and to operate equipment and systems.
  • Ability to be on feet for long periods of time, have a full range of upper body motion, bending, stooping and kneeling regularly, lifting up to 45lbs. at times, and moving freely about the store and its departments in order to assist guests, and access or stock products and equipment.
  • Working conditions consist primarily of an indoor, temperature-controlled environment. The ability to work outside and enter walk-in coolers or freezers, as necessary.
  • May experience stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, and commuting to/from work.

Salary Package: Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year; includes base, insurance stipend, tips, and annual performance bonus.
