The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is dedicated to working with Wisconsinites while preserving and enhancing the natural resources of Wisconsin. In partnership with individuals and organizations, DNR staff manage fish, wildlife, forests, parks, air and water resources, while promoting a healthy, sustainable environment, and a full range of outdoor opportunities. 

We are hiring for the following part-time (20-30 hours per week), limited-term position at Potawatomi State Park, located in Sturgeon Bay, WI.       

LTE - Natural Resources Educator - Provide on-site educational programs and activities to organized school, social, and other groups as well as the general public visiting the property. This includes developing and distributing publications, signage and other materials. In addition this position will assist with outreach, promotion, and public relations for the property.

Base wage is $15.00 - $16.00 per hour, with additional night and weekend shift differentials, and holiday pay.  At a minimum, the position runs Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, with the possibility of additional work on either end.  You must be available to work a varied/flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.  Affordable housing may be available nearby.  

In order to operate park motor vehicles and some equipment you must have a valid driver's license, a minimum of two-years licensed driving experience, and must be at least 18 years of age.
