FEED MILL MANAGER

Door County Cooperative Shirley Feed Mill is seeking an experienced, motivated individual for a full-time, year-round management position. To direct, promote, and coordinate the feed and grain division in a manner that will optimize market share and savings, promote maximum operational efficiency, and help achieve the Cooperative’s mission and goals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the Cooperative and a favorable company image
• Marketing
• Financial reporting; profitability and sales
• Purchasing, maintaining inventory, and resale pricing
• Maintenance of buildings to meet OSHA standards
• Any other duties assigned by management

 Supervision

• Establish and communicate business goals and results to employees
• Staff the operation as needed
• Delegate workloads and actively support employee growth
• Uphold company policies and OSHA standards
• Supervise and perform tasks to increase efficiency and productivity

Business Goals and Results

• Establish business goals and budget with assistance from the CEO

Requirements

• Two years of supervising experience with proven ability to coach and train manufacturing team members
• Working knowledge of, and experience with, relevant government industry regulations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills/ Microsoft suite
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• CDL Class A

Preferred Requirements

• Preferred candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in feed operations and manufacturing
• CDL Class A
• Demonstrated success in dairy cattle feed manufacturing and sales
• Working knowledge of the feed and grain industry
• Creative problem solving and the ability to “make it happen” are key
• A cooperative and agricultural background is helpful
