Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a wide variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other ingredients for cooking using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
     
  • Take full responsibility for the quality and consistency of all dishes served.
     
  • Adhere to all portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen standards consistently.
     
  • Ensure stations are stocked and maintained with adequate supplies for seamless service.
     
  • Pre-portion food products based on recipe specifications and prep guidelines.
     
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned work areas, including all equipment and surfaces.
     
  • Prepare food for grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods, including battering, breading, seasoning, and marinating.
     
  • Follow proper plating and garnishing techniques to maintain presentation standards.
     
  • Properly store, label, and rotate all food products to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
     
  • Assist with prep work during non-peak hours and support other kitchen staff as needed.
     
  • Uphold company standards and represent the restaurant professionally in all actions.
     
  • Execute proper closing procedures and complete cleaning checklists for kitchen shutdown.
     
  • Collaborate with dishwashers and servers during closing shifts to ensure a smooth end-of-day process.
     
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute constructive ideas for kitchen operations.
     
  • Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Executive Chef or manager-on-duty.
     
  • Promptly inform supervisors of any issues or concerns that may impact operations or food quality.
     

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a line cook or prep cook in a high-volume kitchen preferred
     
  • Strong understanding of cooking techniques and food safety practices
     
  • Ability to follow recipes and presentation standards consistently
     
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
     
  • Able to work well under pressure and as part of a team
     
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
