General Description
The Village of Egg Harbor is seeking seasonal employees to assist in our Public Works Department. Work duties may include grounds and facility maintenance, mowing, collection of garbage and recycling, asphalt patching and more. $18 - $20 per hour DOQ.
Work schedule: Position typically runs May - September, but may be adjusted based on availability. Hours are normally Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Fridays 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM.
Essential Functions
Assists full-time staff in the performance of facility and grounds maintenance work, including mowing and trimming. Assists in the collection of garbage, rubbish, recycling and brush; sign maintenance. Performs various street maintenance duties such as cleaning gutters, catch basins, and asphalt patching. Sign installation and pavement markings. Assists other members of crew in various work assignments and performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of power and hand tools used in maintenance and construction.
Ability to operate line trimmers, small mowers and other small mechanical equipment. Ability to perform manual labor for an extended period of time in all types of weather conditions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to learn the general layout of the Village and to learn the routes to other locations.
Minimum Qualifications & Physical Requirements
At least 16 years of age by first day of employment.
Valid Wisconsin driver's license.
