Primary Objective of Position:

To participate in all areas of set functions serving food and beverage to banquet customers in an efficient and courteous manner, to assure customer satisfaction and return business

 

Major Areas of Accountability:

1. Ability to read and decipher information on function sheets to assure all tables and rooms are detailed to specials needs and all items are clean and in proper condition

2. Working as a group or individual to set tables and buffets with specific detail as stated on function sheets

3. Able to interface with managers and fellow employees to make for good working relations. Ability to follow directions and follow company policies and procedures

4. Receives guests’ orders for any variable food items and beverage orders stated on function sheets and/ or as otherwise directed by managers to assure guest satisfaction at all assigned functions.

5. Stay attentive to guest needs such as refills on beverages, special needs, or requests by guests, and assisting fellow servers to assure all guests are served and needs are met on a timely basis.

6. Brings complaints of food or service to the attention of manager on duty to allow for necessary adjustments.

7. Cooperates closely with managers and fellow workers to assure all guest needs are always met.

8. Participates in all clean ups during and following each function including bussing tables, washing dishes, mopping floors, and assisting in clean up and set up functions as assigned by the Banquet Manager, Banquet Captain or Food & Beverage Service Manager.

9. Replacing all equipment to designated areas and storage spaces keeping them organized and free of debris.

10. Attends meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among company employees and promote maximum moral, productivity, and efficiency.

11. Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/ her attention to facilitate corrective action when appropriate.

12. Performs other duties as required or requested

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)

- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and occasionally lift to 50 pounds
