Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking host to join our front of house team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and organization, with experience in handling multiple tasks under stress. As a host, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely flow of the evening and be an essential part of making every guest feel welcomed when they enter the door.
Responsibilities
- Organize and execute reservation list each night according to established systems and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all guests (washing hands, hair tied back etc).
- Collaborate with other restaurant staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Seat guests in a timely manner and assist in preparing tables for the next seating.
- Coordinate with bussers and runners to ensure tables are cleared and ready for guests arrival.
- Participate in catering events as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Strong skills in time management, multitasking, and general knowledge of local area.
- Familiarity with Toast POS and OpenTable reservation systems.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication with team mates and guests.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
