Heavy Machine Operator

Summerset Marine Construction is currently seeking a Heavy Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves operating and maintaining heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and cranes to assist in various marine construction projects. You'll support the construction, maintenance, and repair of infrastructure and large-scale projects in various environments and weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, cranes, and loaders to complete construction tasks.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Load, unload, and distribute construction materials using heavy machinery.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist in the preparation and site setup for construction projects.
• Perform precision tasks such as grading, trenching, and digging using heavy equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Proficiency in operating heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers, cranes, etc.).

• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certification or training in heavy machinery operation.
• Previous experience in construction or industrial projects is advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
• Physical ability to handle moderate to heavy lifting and prolonged periods of operation.
• Ability to work in various positions and environments.
• Basic swimming skills and comfort working near or on water.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 60 per week
