After School Program Assistant (Fish Creek, WI)

Job Title:   Program Assistant (Part Time)

Location:   Club at the Y (Jackie & Steve Kane Center- YMCA, Fish Creek, WI)

As a Program Assistant, you’ll play a key role in leading fun and engaging activities, providing academic support, and ensuring that our 5-10 kids have a safe, productive environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Set and maintain high expectations to inspire and motivate kids.
• Lead group enrichment activities, keeping things fun and productive.
• Provide targeted academic support and homework help.
• Ensure every child is supervised and engaged.
• Keep accurate attendance records and communicate with leadership about individual needs.
• Foster a positive, supportive environment where teamwork thrives.
• Maintain a clean and organized space that promotes safety and learning.

• Leadership skills and the ability to motivate kids using positive reinforcement.
• Flexibility to adapt to different activities and needs.
• A high school diploma (or equivalent) is preferred. High school seniors with an interest in education are encouraged to apply!

Bonus Points If You Have:

• At least 3 months of experience working with children.
• Previous experience working in a group setting with diverse kids.
• A desire to pursue a degree in Education, Child Psychology, Human Development, or Social Work.
• Conversational Spanish skills are a plus!

Schedule: School Days: Mondays-Thursdays from 2:30p - 6:00pm, with the possiblity of more hours at our Sturgeon Bay location during the summer

Pay: Starting at $15.00/hour
