Guest Services Representatives are responsible for assisting guest in the reservation process, check-in and check-out process. They are responsible for offering assistance to our guests as necessary. We do work with Microsoft, Excel, Outlook and several franchise websites as well. Strong computer skills are a plus. We are responsible for correctly recording cash and credit card transactions. Usual hotel duties are included in this position including but not limited to: key control, guest confidentiality, maintaining a safe clean environment for coworkers and guests, laundry, light cleaning, adhering to company and chain brand standards.
Prior front desk/administration experience and computer skills are a plus, but not required. The right candidate must have great customer service and communication skills. This position demands a self-motivated individual adept at problem solving who is comfortable as an independent worker. The laundry duties include operating commercial laundry equipment, lifting up to 50 lbs. some bending also required as well as standing for long periods of time. Candidate must complete a 75-hour 2 week paid training period for this part-time year-round position. This position may include some 1st and 2nd shift hours as well as additional shifts during higher occupancy periods. We do offer seasonal bonus', holiday pay, annual wage increases, employee discounts brand-wide and uniforms. Our current wage offering will be discussed at the time of interview. The hours will vary between 24 to 32 hours per week including alternate weekends. This is a year-round position in a fast paced, challenging environment.
