Description

The Host/Hostess greets guests, manages reservations, and seats customers. The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for customers and are responsible for setting the tone for the restaurant. The Host/Hostess must be able to work and communicate well with others; receive and provide direction to staff; and maintain a positive attitude toward the work and company. The Host/Hostess must also observe company dress code and support the company culture, values, goals and mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming guests and providing friendly and professional service to customers
  • Selecting tables for guests based on their preferences, floor plan, and server rotation
  • Escorting customers to their tables and notifying the appropriate server
  • Taking reservations and keeping them organized, as well as providing accurate wait times for guests
  • Effectively manage the flow of the restaurant, always ensuring 100% customer satisfaction
  • Maintain positive guest relations and ensure the customer experience is consistent with company quality standards
  • Ensuring that the front-of-house remains clean and accessible for all customers
  • Helping servers and bussers when needed
  • Other duties as assigned by General Manager

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Computer/Technology literate – ability to use POS and reservation system
