Customer Service Representative - LTE
This Customer Service Rep position will be assigned to the Sturgeon Bay Service Center. This office offers counter service to the general public Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Duties include providing counter service for walk-in customers, remote processing of vehicle registrations received by mail, selling state park vehicle admission stickers, issuing disabled and burn permits. Ensuring sound financial and cash handling.
This position is anticipated to work 20 hours per week. Work hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
50% Provision of information to the public concerning laws, requirements and procedures pertaining to licensing, Wisconsin residency, vehicle registration and titling and DNR programs. Serve as a primary point of contact for analyzing and responding to customer needs. Explain program policies and procedures in responding to customer requests. Provide answers to questions or requests for information. Research areas where additional analysis or interpretation is needed or when a variety of alternatives are available
25% Provision of Vehicle Registration and Titling Services to the public in a manner consistent with recreational vehicle laws and administrative rules and departmental, division and bureau policies and procedure.
25% Provision of recreational licensing services to the general public in a manner consistent with Wis. Statutes, NR administrative rules, and departmental policies and procedures.
A well-qualified applicant will have prior customer service and cash handling experience, a high level of attention to detail, basic computer skills and a desire to help others enjoy Wisconsin's outdoors. The applicant should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to accurately relay complex information. The capability to multi-task is crucial.
***Individuals who are bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Hmong are encouraged to apply!*** Bilingual positions receive a $1.00 per hour salary add-on in addition to the $14.84 per hour base salary.
