Door County YMCA Youth Aquatics Instructor
Share the benefits of swimming - teach children to swim and be safe around water! We are now looking for quality applicants to teach various levels of swim lessons. Part time swim instructors will work varied shifts: weekdays, evenings and weekends. Instructors will teach group and private swim lessons for toddlers and children ages 6 months - 12 years old. This is a great position for an energetic and patient individual who is looking to work with children.
We will train you in all the skills necessary to teach fun, exciting, and effective swim lessons. Both on deck and in the water, instructors will learn and be able to teach the sequence and progression of swim stages. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate, motivate and evaluate all ages and swim stages of students. Must be at least 16 years of age. Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certification are preferred but not necessary.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and move freely in the water.
Pay range is $8.00 - $9.00/ hour, depending on experience. FREE Y Membership.
