Stone’s Throw Winery in Door County, Wi is seeking a Director of Wine Club & Special Events to join our dynamic team. With a successful 27-year history, and continued focus on producing highly acclaimed, ultra-premium wines from California grapes, this is the perfect position for someone who can demonstrate the highest standards of courtesy and hospitality. A successful candidate will have the ability to prioritize and understand exceptional time management. Candidate will achieve a level of customer service that exceeds the expectations of our clientele… which are high.

Responsibilities include:

  • Pilot and grow all Wine Club capacities – including membership, monthly shipments, special orders, and more.
  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of Stone’s Throw Winery special events on and off campus.
  • Plan, create, and deploy effective marketing tactics, and collaborate with other departments as needed.
  • Research, develop, and plan budgets for events.
  • Collaborate with a variety of vendors and venues.
  • Communicate with customers regarding events.
  • Collect and analyze pertinent data from special events & the Wine Club.

Required Skills

  • Experience and understanding of project/time management, and a willingness to work in an evolving environment with enthusiasm.
  • A commitment to excellence and high standards, plus professional appearance, and demeanor.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Experience preferred in Publisher, MailChimp, Adobe Suite, and Canva.

Previous event planning experience is a plus! Work history with mass billing/shipping and project management will move you to the top tier of candidates. 

The individual must be an excellent communicator, team player, self-starter, and creative problem solver who is able to adapt, perform, and produce results in any situation; and ideally, will have a proven history of success in event planning and customer service.
