Position available: Full-time, Year-round Carpenter
We are currently seeking a full-time, year round carpenter to add to our team. Starting pay is based on experience, and may be adjusted after 90 day training period. 40+ hours guaranteed each week, typically Monday-Thursday. Work at an employer who treats you like family!
Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:
Our small, family-owned company does a variety of tasks related to construction: framing, siding, roofing, painting, and finish work. Occasional demolition work is performed for remodeling projects also.
Employees construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools.
You will perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types: nailers, drills, saws, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. We do a variety of construction work: framing, roofing, siding, remodeling, painting, finish and trim work. May assist other craft workers or do some tasks independently.
Need to be able to lift up to 75-100 pounds, and have reliable transportation to our yard each day. Workday starts between 6:00 or 7:00, based on sunrise. Ability to read measurements and understand fractions is part of the job. You will travel in company vehicles from our yard to jobsites. Most important is having a positive attitude, and being open to learning our quality standards.
