The Carrington Restaurant at the Landmark Resort, one of Door County’s premier dining destinations, is seeking a skilled and energetic PM Line Cook to help deliver an exceptional evening dining experience to our guests.

As a PM Line Cook, you’ll bring bold, flavorful dishes to life during dinner service—whether it’s a perfectly grilled steak, a delicately plated seafood entrée, or a signature comfort favorite. You’ll work alongside a tight-knit culinary team that values creativity, consistency, and teamwork to ensure every plate leaves the kitchen at its best.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of dinner menu items including meats, seafood, poultry, pastas, and vegetables using broilers, grills, sauté pans, ovens, and fryers.
     
  • Maintain high standards for quality, consistency, and presentation during busy dinner service.
     
  • Follow established portion sizes, cooking techniques, and kitchen procedures with precision.
     
  • Keep your station clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout service.
     
  • Execute proper cooking methods including grilling, sautéing, frying, searing, roasting, and finishing sauces.
     
  • Ensure proper plating and garnishing for a consistent guest experience.
     
  • Label, store, and rotate all food products to maintain freshness and safety.
     
  • Collaborate with fellow cooks, dishwashers, and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
     
  • Assist in prep work before the shift and support kitchen team as needed.
     
  • Help close the kitchen at the end of the night, including cleaning, restocking, and completing shutdown checklists.
     
  • Report any issues or equipment malfunctions to the Executive Chef or manager-on-duty.
     

Qualifications:

  • Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred, especially in dinner or high-volume service
     
  • Solid understanding of cooking techniques, kitchen safety, and food handling practices
     
  • Ability to read and follow recipes with consistency and efficiency
     
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
     
  • Able to work under pressure and multitask during high-volume service
     
  • Flexible availability, especially for evenings, weekends, and holidays
