Young Automotive is Door County's Car Care Crew. We are a second generation auto service provider for customers from Sturgeon Bay, Egg Harbor, and Sister Bay, WI, as well as surrounding areas. We are known as a trusted, community-minded, locally owned business.
We employ ASE-certified technicians who are experts in servicing Domestic, European and Asian vehicles and will handle all your brake repairs, general auto repairs, and scheduled maintenance needs. We are MAP Accredited, and we are an ASA Member.

Young Automotive opened in Sturgeon Bay in 1969 originally founded as Phil Young Automotive. Phil Young, my father, started his business in Chicago in 1966. A true car lover and a hands-on technician, Phil had worked in the automotive industry over 9 years before opening up in Sturgeon Bay. In 2002 I (Fred Young) purchased the family business and changed the name to Young Automotive, Inc.
I have been in the industry since 1975 first working in the family business. I took all the small engine/auto mechanic classes offered in high school and then after graduation went on to MoTech Automotive School in Detroit, Mi. After that, I spent time working in a Dodge dealership and over 5 years in the automotive prototype industry while still in Detroit. I moved back to Sturgeon Bay in 1989 to work again for my father.
I chose auto repair as my profession because it felt like a natural fit working in the family business and I loved working on cars. It's a great industry to work in as there is always opportunity to help people keep their investment in safe, reliable condition.
We love to give back to the community who supports us. Some examples of our charitable giving is that we are proud supporters of the Sturgeon Bay Skate Park, Neighbor to Neighbor, Peninsula Players, Northern Sky Theater, the DCA and so many more...
When I am not serving our community, you can find me motorcycling with my wife or out in the woods on my mountain bike.
