Community libraries within Door County, Wisconsin have been active since 1866. In 1953 several libraries combined to become branches of the Door County Library. Currently there are seven branches: Baileys Harbor, Egg Harbor, Ephraim, Fish Creek, Forestville, Sister Bay/Liberty Grove, and Washington Island. The main library in Sturgeon Bay also houses the Miller Art Museum.
We offer books for children, teens and adults; audio books on CD, cassette, playaway and downloadable format; music on CD; software CD’s; magazines and newspapers; videos and DVD’s; computers with free Internet access; in-house and online reference and inter-library loan services; art prints; a toy library; and themed book bins for child care providers. In addition, we have free WiFi Internet access at all of our libraries, and offer a variety of programming year-round.
